It seems that todays college students are forced into debt just to get an undergrad degree. 25 years ago you had grants and loans, now it seems to be just loans. What happened?

Tuition costs increased faster than grant funding increased. People don’t want to pay higher taxes to increase financial aid, so federal funds are limited.
