If I am receiving tuition reimbursement and I leave my company, can I take out student loans?
Financial Aid
Julius M asked:
If I have 6000 to pay back to an employer, will a student loan company allow you to take out students loans for classes already completed but being paid back to employer for tuition costs. Or would I have to bite the bullet and take out personal loans to pay back my employer? Any thoughts or anyone every in that postion?

You sure can. The only thing is you do have to claim what you’re getting from work. This probably won’t X-out all of the funding you can get, but it might play a part in how much you can get. It just probably wont be as much. But hey look at it this way, it’s less you have to pay back.
