You need to get a pin (http://www.pin.gov) to apply for the Aid and then apply for fafsa in January. If you have any question contact me @

      Hooray for starting school.

Since you’re only going for spring semester you will be awarded your award amount for the WHOLE year. (fall and spring) You can take all or part if you choose. When you fill out your form, you wll indicate when you are going to be enrolled in school and the FAFSA Gods figure it out. It’s magic I swear.
A great resource for you to check out is your school’s financial aid website. Your school should also have counselors to talk you through this process. (as your education institution might have more quirks)

You go to fafsa and fill it out. It’s okay you didn’t go during the fall 07 semester. The school will only award you for the Spring 08. Do the application now…. as in today, because it will not likely be processed and completed by the time the spring 08 semester starts and if the school requires payment ahead of time you might want to dig deep in your bank account.

Also, on Jan 1 another fafsa will go on-line, using your 2007 income rather than your 2006. Fill this one out as soon after Jan 1st and after you have done your 07 taxes. this will be for NEXT fall 08 ans spring 09. This will assure you you won’t be in the same boat you are now… applying so late.
      Good Luck.
