I need to see a link for this question. Just because Conservatives do not vote in favor of Democratic attempts to give MORE relief (if that is your reference here) does not mean what you are saying it means.
Professionals already out there competing in the market-place do not benefit by having the risks lowered for another generation.
It dilutes the value of the education and floods the market-place with over-educated professionals.
The net result is that Liberals can just use it for their dire predictions regarding the economy.

Cons cut education funds because they know that education leads to an open mind.

I worked my way through school and paid my dues. Education is something you attain if you want it badly enough - not something you’re given.
Anyone can educate themselves - student loans are not required. There are public libraries on every corner and State Universities that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
Nothing worthwhile is easy. It’s not education that leads to open minds - it’s an open mind that leads to education.
